2013 Women’s Leadership Development Conference for Women Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons

 The vision of the 2013 Women’s Career and Leadership Development Conference for Women Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons is to diversify the cardiology and cardiothoracic field by creating a vibrant community of women cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons that will strengthen their non-clinical professional skills, provide opportunities to enhance their professional standing, and encourage them to assume leadership positions in the field and within the American College of Cardiology. This one-and-a-half day course is intended to address continued under-representation of women leaders in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.

Attendees will be able to apply their own strategic decision-making skills, leadership competencies and personal effectiveness in the management of teams, departments and organizations as they work with others to build commitment to goals and implement changes. A key feature of this intimate and interactive course is the opportunity to share tips with peers and learn from experienced women cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons who have steered their own successful careers.
