Leadership & Advocacy Summit 2015

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) will host its fourth annual Leadership & Advocacy Summit, April 18–21, in Washington, DC. The Summit is a dual meeting that offers volunteer leaders and advocates comprehensive and specialized educational sessions focused on the tools needed to be an effective leader, followed by interactive advocacy training and coordinated visits to DC congressional offices.

At the 2014 Advocacy Summit more than 200 participants from 44 states attended 229 meetings on Capitol Hill during Lobby Day, held on April 1. Each year, Lobby Day concludes the Advocacy program at the Leadership & Advocacy Summit.

The agenda for the next Advocacy Summit is being developed now. Program topics for the 2015 Summit will again include in-depth and interactive presentations on the legislative process and how to effectively communicate with members of Congress on Lobby day and after.
