31st EAES Rome Annual Congress 2023

Dear colleagues,

We would like to welcome you to an undoubtedly other great EAES congress in Roma, 20 – 23 June 2023 which is themed: ‘The future belongs to the next generation’.

At this congress we will give extra attention to this next generation in the scientific programme. We will focus on lessons learned from complications in the famous ‘highway to disaster’ sessions, how to speed up your learning curve and how to improve surgical procedures. During the congress we will have more than 70 sessions on both basic laparoscopic procedures as well as the most advanced robotic procedures using artificial intelligence and modern imaging techniques. And last but not least, of course we will present an update on attempts of surgeons to make the OR greener.

Furthermore, we will offer you more than 5 hands on courses on topics like endoscopic procedures, laparoscopic suturing, ultrasound and choledochoscopy and workshops on for example how to write a scientific publication.

During this congress you have the possibility to meet industry and discuss with them your latest wishes and explore the instruments and devices you would like to have near you in the OR. You will meet colleagues from at least 60 different countries who will be also present on our excellent social activities in the beautiful city of Roma.
